Paul McCartney Concerts – Top Grossing Performances

Thirty three million, sixty million, a whopping one hundred and twenty six million; no, these are not the times we crushed on the cute guy or the gorgeous girl next door. It’s definitely not the amount of times we’ve pondered over the true meaning of the universe. It’s not the times we’ve debated the merits of having breakfast for dinner. And it’s absolutely not the amount of times we’ve stuffed ourselves to the point of paralysis. Nope. None of these. So we’ll give you one wild guess as to what these numbers are. Give up? These are earnings made on three different tours by the one, the only, the spectacular; Sir James Paul McCartney.

Paul McCartney Concert

He’s one quarter of one of the most popular bands of all time. He’s robbed more hearts than we can keep track of. And broken more records than we can imagine. He might have been John Lennon’s Little Friend (courtesy Aunt Mimi’s disapproval), but there is nothing little in the legacy that this phenomenal artist has molded out of the love for music and some nifty left-handed guitar playing prowess.

Sir Paul McCartney sits proudly in the Guinness Book of World Records as one of the most successful artists of all time. And true to that accolade, he is also one of the highest grossing live acts in town. I mean, the man did make it through a decade of the Beatle mania. He must know what he’s doing.

In 2002, McCartney concluded the fifty eight show Driving World tour that grossed over a hundred million dollars. 2005’s The ‘US’ tour was a thirty seven show extravaganza that grossed sixty million. Summer Live of 2009 went over thirty million strong. It’s no wonder then that this knight has made it to the top of Billboards Boxscores over the past decade or so. Every year, Paul McCartney Concerts seem to grab first place in the list of highest grossing tours. And that is exactly what has put his personal worth at almost a billion dollars.

2013 saw Paul top the list yet again with an estimated earning of forty million. And this is just from a ten day stint on the Japanese leg of his current Out There! tour. With ticket prices reaching for the sky, and the tour still scheduled for shows around the US, there is no guessing just how much this tour will gross overall, and nothing seems to suggest that McCartney is slowing down. As for us, we’re just in it for the ride and follow this blessed knight.
